This Lakewood, Colorado client was in desperate need of a makeover for her townhouse bedroom and bathroom. The existing bathroom conditions were pretty dire; with a lack of storage, tight space, and aging materials complicating the space’s appearance. The bedroom was a space that the client had been long hoping to re-design, but with her busy work schedule and fear of making bold design decisions, the process was put on hold.
We met with this fabulous client and were instantly able to pinpoint her style. With a penchant for Hollywood inspired glam, our client’s favorite textures and colors provided a delightful design playground for us to work with. In the bathroom, we were able to physically expand the space by cutting into an existing bedroom closet and reducing its size. This allowed for the installation of a much larger bathroom vanity and freed up space between the vanity and toilet. We also gutted the bathtub area and converted it into a gorgeous standing shower with sliding glass doors. The shower floor and decorative wall strip are tiny glass squares that dance through the shower with shimmering elegance. The bathroom floors are covered in marble slab tiles, elevating the space’s appearance. We provided the client with a new paint scheme, modern white wall-mounted vanity, custom artwork treatments on the walls, and a whole new shower valve/showerhead system that makes daily showering a delight.
The bedroom is where we really tapped into the Hollywood glam concept. On the wall behind the bed, we specified light and dark grey diamond pattern wallcovering which adds a bold touch of pattern and sophistication. We incorporated teals and grays, and paired them with classy mirrored bedside tables. These bedside tables are accompanied by mini-chandeliers that hang over the mirrored surfaces as substitutes for table lamps.
Final touches of gray and teal fabrics, along with a super bold peacock art print adorning the wall above the bed, were added to finish the space. What a classy room! How much did this cost? Both spaces were completely revamped for less than $12,000. That includes design time, contractor labor, and all materials! Pretty impressive, yes?
